At Runable, we’re building the most versatile automation platform, enabling anyone to automate any workflow across desktop, browser, and mobile.
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be at the forefront of building a scalable infrastructure capable of spinning up persistent instances at scale. You’ll work closely with our engineering team to create a robust orchestration layer, optimize networking for live connections, and ensure seamless remote control of instances running browsers, desktop apps, or Android emulators.
What You’ll Do
- Orchestration Systems:
- Design and implement our custom orchestration layer (currently using Kubernetes; exploring Nomad and other options).
- Optimize scheduling, scaling, and resource allocation for persistent user profiles.
- Networking Optimization:
- Develop and maintain stateful, persistent networking layers using Traefik, Envoy, and other proxies.
- Optimize VNC connections for high-performance remote control.
- System Programming:
- Write high-performance code in Golang, Rust, or similar system-level languages.
- Implement low-latency solutions for instance management and networking.
- Cloud Infrastructure:
- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure across GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform/OpenTofu.
- DevOps & Automation:
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code for repeatable deployments.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in infrastructure engineering with a focus on orchestration, networking, and cloud systems.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Nomad, or similar orchestration tools.
- Deep expertise in system programming (Golang, Rust).
